The best week of Bodyboarding in the history of the Arica Chilean Challenge begins at El Gringo

Border

After a weekend with great waves and a high level of bodyboarding on the Arica date of the APB world tour, what is coming is even better. Waves of more than 4 meters for Monday and Tuesday, start of the best 24, Inauguration and premiere of the women's world championship, and what will impact worldwide: Maker Pro Rider, a local initiative that undertakes and innovates with the Arica seedbed advised by the and the best of the world.

Definitely the conditions could not be better, in Arica with the kids on vacation, great tidal waves and the best in the world sharing with a loving audience familiar with this sport cultivated in various waves in the city of eternal spring.

This Monday is round number 5 with the 24 best, including Tanner McDaniel, Mike Stewart and Jacob Romero from Hawaii. Israel Salas, Dudu Pedra, Lucas Nogueira and José Otavio from Brazil. Diego Cabrera from Islas Canarias, who suffered a serious accident on this same wave a couple of years ago. And Pierre Louis Costes with Amaury Lacherne from France who have so far achieved the highest scores.

Mike Stewart (52) joins the tour only on the date of Arica since he likes the city of eternal spring and especially the El Gringo wave, he said "I managed to reach high scores, over 8 and 9 for the first time in the tournament that's good, learning to press at the right time. But for two weeks I've been a little sick and that keeps me with less energy, it's quite a challenge, I'm going step by step with the heats".

The Chileans still in the race are the local Diego Sepúlveda, who obtained the wild card for winning the Pelao Guillén Cup. Cristobal Sciaraffia from Iquique also follows, he comes from making a great presentation in the national second region. And Sacha Damjanic from Antofagasta who has just obtained ninth place in the World Cup held in Brazil.

The call is to enjoy this great event for free on the Ex Isla El Alacrán from 8:30 am.
